Divico is a modern red grape bred in Switzerland as a cross between Gamaret and Bronner. It has an ultra-high resistance to botrytis as well as downy and powdery mildew. The thick skins and resistance to rot allow it to produce in the wet and mild autumns we tend to face in the UK come harvest. It will ripen around late-September to early-October and produces rich red wines with notes of black pepper and dark plum aromas.
Due to the high Breeders License fee for Divico these cost £0.53p extra per vine.
