Regent is the most widely planted red PIWI in cool climates. Bred in 1967 as a cross between Diana and Chambourcin it produces a reliable crop of red grapes even in cool UK summers. It has exceptional resistance to mildews and an early ripening window allows it to produce before the worst of the autumn weather. It will produce full-bodies reds with smooth tannins and bold flavours of blackberries, plums and cherries.

All our imported root stock and grafted plants are covered by The European Plant Passport scheme, a Phyto-sanitary certificate that confirms plants are free from disease including Xylella, trunk disease, fan leaf, leaf roll, and marble leaf disease. Our vines are plant pass-ported and sourced from our trusted growers in Germany, Luxembourg and the major vineyard areas of France, specifically Burgundy and Champagne.
