In May we had the pleasure to return to Goosebeck Vineyard near York to assist in planting an expansion in the vineyard. Goosebeck are planting Divico, Regent, Sauvignac, Sauvitage as well as Pinot Noir to complement their existing planting.
Sauvignac is a hybrid grape that is particularly well-suited for cooler climates. This variety is known for producing aromatic white wines with a fresh and fruity character. Sauvitage, whislt being a little lesser-known is gaining recognition for unique flavour profiles and versatility. with wines that are complex, often featuring notes of citrus and stone fruits.
We wish them the best of luck with the growing season ahead. If you would like anymore information on the varieties mentioned in this article or are planning your own expansion, contact us directly at info@thevinehouse.co.uk.
